Abstract: | To understand the variation in blood contacting properties of chemically modified polyurethane, methyl methacrylate has been grafted on to polyurethane by the gamma-irradiation method. The preliminary in vitro blood compatibility studies indicated an improvement in the blood contacting properties of polyurethane by the introduction of poly(methyl methacrylate) chains. |
