These investigations indicate the compatibility of PVC/EVA, partial miscibility of PVC/SAN and the complete immiscible nature of EVA/SAN blends in solution. In the PVC/EVA/SAN ternary blend, both miscible and immiscible compositions exist. The compatible blend exhibits viscosity equal to the additive value under shear and incompatible blend exhibits viscosity lower than the additive value under shear.
